Insanity Week 6: Day 1 – Fitness Test & Max Interval Circuit
Monday – Fit Test, Speed 2.0. Tuesday – Max Cardio Conditioning, Cardio Abs. Wednesday – Rip'T Circuit. Thursday – Plyometric Cardio Circuit, Cardio Abs. Friday – Speed 2.0, Core Cardio. Saturday – Max Interval Circuit, Upper Focus. Sunday – Rest Day. This is Max Interval Plyo. The Max Interval training workout that's gonna' shape your body.'. The warm-up lasts about 10 minutes and is the same as yesterday's (Max Interval Circuit). You do three sets total. The first two sets last 4 minutes and the last is 2 minutes (in which you move faster and push harder).
*&!$ Shaun T! Seriously. I'm in a mode of serious hate right now for that man.
Month 2: max everything! And I don't know if I can do it… when I say it's a leap and a jump up from month 1, I'm not kidding. After doing the warm up I could barely stand up again to do the stretch!
But I completed both the Fitness Test and the Max Interval Circuit! Yeah, I'm happy! But I'm scared about what's to come!
So let's start with happier news: Fitness Test!
Week | Week One | Week Three | Week Six |
Switch Kicks | 22 | 56 | 70 |
Power Jacks | 20 | 29 | 31 |
Power Knees | 41 | 74 | 80 |
Power Jumps | 9 | 18 | 20 |
Globe Jumps | 3 | 7 | 10 |
Suicide Jumps | 3 | 7 | 10 |
Push-Up Jacks | 1 | 5 | 8 |
Low-plank Oblique's | 4 | 10 | 14 |
As is evident, I've at least improved in my fitness (YAY) which is always a good thing! My 2 most impressive ones I'd have to say would be Switch Kicks (I got 70 this time) and Power Knees (I got 80!!! 80!!!)
Power knees is probably the one I'm proudest of though! Because despite me being about 3 times the size of the guys on the video, I managed to get 80 , which was one less than the guy (whose name has escaped me)! I was so excited because I've never really been able to achieve such amazing results in such a short period of time! Life was good!
I took a bit of a break between the fitness test and the max interval circuit because after the fitness test I was feeling exhausted and very tired. So I had lunch, waited an hour and a half then tackled max interval circuit.
As I've already said, I could barely stand after the warm up. And when Shaun T says 'I'm gonna push you hard now!' he is not joking! No siree! He went HARD and he went FAST! There were moments when I was wishing for the plyometric cardio circuit because at least that had longer breaks and shorter exercises! I never thought that day would come, but it did and that day was today!
But I still pushed through and finished it, which is the main thing! I stopped halfway through with about 25 minutes left and I thought I'd walk away, because I felt sick and like I was being pushed too hard. But I continued and am happy to say that I completed month 2 day 1 and I'm still alive!
Insanity is beginning to live up to its name. I don't know how I'm going to get on over the next few weeks… really I don't. but it's only 4 more weeks! Then the results will speak for themselves. I hope so at least.

Excited but scared. Scared but hopeful. Hopeful but realistic.
Ah life!
